Weddings - Do they really need a title?

I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family, thank you Kelly! Kelly called me about a week before Maureen & Austin's wedding, she remembered I was a photographer.  Maureen's original photographer bailed, would I be able to fill in?  Absolutely! Just so happened that I had a cancellation for that weekend, everything happens for a reason indeed! Austin how cute was he, I was at the ceremony location for an hour before scoping out the scene and where I was going to do the Bridal party shoot, afterall I had never shot at this location.  I had never met Austin, he was so shy, I was sitting in a chair there were maybe 5 people there and he kept walking by me, he had to know I was the photographer, I will never forget the shy groom!

My wish for Maureen & Austin:

May your mornings bring joy and your evenings bring peace.

May your troubles grow few as your blessings increase.

May the saddest day of your future

Be no worse than the happiest day of your past.

May your hands be forever clasped in friendship... Read More

And your hearts joined forever in love.

Your lives are very special,

God has touched you in many ways.

May his blessings rest upon you

And fill all your coming days.

To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else. ~ Emily Dickenson

I had the pleasure of shooting in the park, think it's the last fall session I will enjoy for 2009.  Very sad for me as I love the fall.  It is my favorite time of year.

This particular session touched a little closer to my heart because the eldest son has Epilepsy.  As a child I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, though I out grew the worst of it. (Some don't out grow Epilepsy at all.) I have only experienced the seizures in my sleep and they are VERY rare anymore.  Jake has such a spirit, so soft & playful.   I see in his mother's eyes what I missed in my own mother's eyes, saddened & worried with concern.  Jake has a strength, though it is quiet, I see it. I feel in my heart that he will make the best of this.  Jake is real trooper.    Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are. ~ Bernice Reagon

People are brought into our lives for a reason.   Somewhere I lost the ability to see life happening, I was so rushed I lost sight of the things that mean so much to me, forgetting to take the time to LIVE.  He reminded me to stop, breath and live in the moment that we have been graced with.  These moments we rush through, hurry home not noticing the helicopters falling from the trees, the pink noses that come in from the brisk air, they are all gifts. Thank you Lisa for sharing Jake with me.

Hello & Welcome

I am excited as this is my first post! I hope to add a new post weekly. If you care to get to know a little about me, my passion for photography and my family then stay tuned!

I am living in Richmond Twp., Mi, which is actually only about 2 miles out of Armada. My husband & biggest supporter along with our kids, Matt & Alyssa built on property on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere as some would say, to me though it is paradise. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I look outside my unguarded windows and see trees, a pond and my son's motocross track, LOL! That's not so peaceful, but how I love to watch him ride. I just love that there is the same family of deer that visit our corn field each evening, they have a bed at the edge of Matt's track. So this is paradise to me :)

My passion is photography, life is inspiring, children laughing, pouting and some even crying. Couples starting their journeys together on a joined path, beginning life with their greatest joy, capturing their greatest accomplishment in their first few weeks of life together. Watching families grow and how so proud they are. Walking down memory lane with a mature couple, so much wisdom they have to share, how their wrinkled hands have so much to tell. I feel as though there is so much more to capture...so I am off on a journey to tell the stories, there are so many to be told, so many that have yet to be discovered.
